Head Chef and Owner, Kulmeet (Bob) Arora, has been heading up operations at Sachins for over 23 years. Bob was a regular diner before taking over the restaurant in 2000. He is committed to offering an authentic Punjabi experience, with all spices roasted and ground on the restaurant premises.

As Head Chef, Bob prepares every dish on the menu with the utmost attention to detail. All food is freshly prepared using the finest ingredients to give diners a memorable experience.

Once a New Orleans jazz club in the sixties, the restaurant has retained much of the exterior that diners have come to recognise and love, while the inside has had a full refurbishment.

Sachins is located in the heart of Newcastle, just behind Central Station, in the Stephenson Quarter, overlooking the stunning Quayside. The restaurant recently underwent a major transformation, with an exciting series of colourful murals hand-drawn by talented North East designer, Beth Travers.
