Finest Punjabi Cuisine
Located on the historic Forth Banks of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Sachins finest Punjabi cuisine has become a local icon since opening over 30 years ago. Current owner Kulmeet (Bob) Arora was a regular diner before taking over the restaurant in 2000. Quickly going from a big part of Bob’s life to being the centre of his life, Bob has put his heart and soul (and continue to do so to this day) into turning the already bustling restaurant into a cut above the rest.
Featuring an ambient, atmospheric interior, Sachins is the perfect way to unwind after a long day at the office, to celebrate a special occasion or even just for a meal with a difference. No matter your reason, you can be assured of a friendly welcome every time.
Sachins is located in the heart of Newcastle, just behind Central Station, in the Stephenson Quarter, over looking our stunning Quayside. The building itself, which was once a New Orleans jazz club in the sixties, retains much of the beautiful exterior that diners have come to recognise and love, while the inside has had a full refurb since Bob took over. Nineteen years later, Bob’s devotion has paid off in spades with Sachins growth and popularity reaching levels even they didn’t expect, with the restaurant regularly packed and their dishes featuring on the shelves of Fenwick in the city, as well as a thriving outdoor catering scheme.
Working tirelessly both in and out of Sachins, Bob never stops, devoting hours to the restaurant, be it as the head chef, or on regular cooking demonstrations and is always well received. Thanks to Bob, Sachins has gone from an enjoyable night to a memorable experience which keeps people coming back time and time again.
